Teachoverseas what we do!

I am taking the time to tell you about the organization that I am here with. Teachoverseas.org. If you are a regular reader of my blog, please pray for teachers to decide to come join us on our team. It was a over two years ago that I decide to move to the Czech Republic to teach. I was a teacher in America and felt His call on my life to move overseas and impact the students here. I spent over a year looking for organizations that would allow me to do just that. What I was met with was a lot of close doors. Due to the economic crisis in America many organizations are decreasing the number of people they are sending overseas.

Then I found Teachoverseas. Like you I tried to find out more information from actual people who were over there with them. I knew nothing about this organization and didn't know anyone who did. After the initial contact they continued to contact me! They pursued me!! They made sure that all my questions were answered and that I made contact with an actual teacher overseas.

I found in this organization a true heart for not only the people they serve but also the teachers who are serving for them! You do have to raise some support, but compared with other organizations it really is a small amount. You attend a 4 week long training in sunny California. It is intensive and rough but really prepares you for life overseas.

Once you get over here the support doesn't end. They have established a very good structure of support not only for your school, but for Spiritual growth and Emotional health. The teams that you are on become your family, and you grow closer than you would ever had imagined. There are retreats through out the year and it is an excellent time to recharge in every aspect.

So....if you know anyone who is looking for a job...send them this way! You don't have to be an experienced teacher. We just want native speakers, which you already are! You don't have to serve in Central Europe if you feel He is leading you somewhere else. We also have a need for teachers in Asia and CIS.
