Journey Across the Country

So, my favorite season is fall. Living in Texas, we don't really get to see much of this season. A Texas 'fall' usually consists of 70 or 60 degree weather sweat shirts and football. Here, we actually get a season of fall. The leaves change color and it lasts for longer than a few days. The weather actually dips below 40 and it is COLD in the morning and warmer in the afternoon.

I had the privilege of getting to see the Czech Republic during this WONDERFUL season this past weekend. I traveled 8 hours one way by train to visit my fellow teachers in Cheb. It was a great opportunity to spend some time a lone and to see the beautiful country in which I live.

My mother, as most mothers do, asked for pictures of the journey. Well...I found myself so intrigued with the scenery that I forgot to take out my camera and capture the beauty. Plus I found myself frustrated with the results of my attempts at taking a picture from a moving train.

I did get a couple of pictures of the fall scenery from Cheb and will post them as soon as Blogger lets me. God's creation is so beautiful and I can't help but stand or sit in awe of how creative He is.

  1. October 2008 on a train ride from Vilnius, Lithuania, to Prague, God introduced me to Babička Eliška and clarified in my mind a call to long-term, international missions. I remember being in awe of what you got to observe--His incredible creation, changing with the weather. Absolutely beautiful! I love you, friend!
