I like Texas

This weekend I have really been thinking about my home state. Baseball season started up again, and that just reminds me of spring in Texas. The bluebonnets and sunny days. Being able to jump in my car and not drive very far to be in the country with the biggest sky in the world and the most beautiful wild flowers. That was one of my favorite pass times; driving through the country in Texas.




My next favorite thing about Texas is the music and dancing. This is a picture of Gruene Hall. Gruene is a small community in the middle of New Braunsfels. I always enjoy traveling down there and walking around the Texas shops and eatin some REALLY good Gristmill food. There is nothing else like floating down the river and enjoying some wonderful time with friends.










There is nothing like being in Texas in the spring. The weather is beautiful, baseball has started and life is sweet. However, I am learning that this new country that I am living in can be just as beautiful. It is ok to sit and have a day of thinking about home and appreciating all the things that I had while I was there. But this beautiful sunny day lends itself to a lot of exploring in this country and discovering things that I will look back on and think "Oh the Czech Republic in the Spring, there is nothing like it"

So to my Texas friends, enjoy those bluebonnets for me! And I will get out and take some pictures of my explorations of this place in the Spring time. : )
