Seek First His Kingdom

2 Chronicles 15:2-7
2 He went out to meet Asa and said to him, "Listen to me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin. The LORD is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you. 3 For a long time Israel was without the true God, without a priest to teach and without the law. 4 But in their distress they turned to the LORD, the God of Israel, and sought him, and he was found by them. 5In those days it was not safe to travel about, for all the inhabitants of the lands were in great turmoil. 6 One nation was being crushed by another and one city by another, because God was troubling them with every kind of distress. 7 But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded."

In reading through the records of the kings of Isreal and Judah, God has revealed a great truth to me. When you seek to do the will of the Lord and seek Him above all else, you will be rewarded and succeed. Not because of anything you have done. But when you seek the Kingdom of God your heart is aligned with His. You will be doing HIS work, not your own.

Draw near to the heart of God and He will draw near to you. It makes sense. When you move close to something that is constant and firm and never moving, it will get closer to you. God will not run from you or turn away if you are truly humbled and seeking His will.

Do not give up in seeking to further His kingdom. Every moment of every day is an opportunity to praise the Father and give glory to Him. Live your life for Him to glorify Him, and He will bless you beyond anything you can imagine.

Even in the hard times when things are not comfortable. He will comfort you and bring you peace in a huge storm! PRAISE THE LORD that we have the ability to come before Him and worship the Creator of the universe!
