Today was my last Monday at Tyler Elementary. I have mixed emotions about that. I am so ready for this year to be over so I can move on to new things, but it is also hard to realize my time here is coming to a close.
As I was walking to school today, I was reminded of God's consistency in our ever changing lives through Caedmon's Call's song "There's Only One."
When all around my soul gives way,
He alone is my hope and stay
There's only one, only one, holy one.
He is constant. He is the same yesterday, today, tomorrow and forever! No matter what changes come about in my life, He is there. He will always be there, forever! He never changes, and that blows me away. How easily our minds are changed and shifted about in the tossing waves.
He alone is my rock, my fortress, my stronghold, I will not be easily shaken. David over and over proclaims this truth in the Psalms. If you hold to Him, the unmoving rock, you will find yourself a bit more stable! Find your sea legs and hang on for the ride!
