His Story, Not Mine

I am telling 'my story' tomorrow at church. We have been doing a series of people sharing their story. It is a great way to get to know people in your church on a more intimate level! You find out things you never knew about that person, even though you think you know them.

My week is this week. Since our leadership team asked me to talk, I have been kind of anxious and curious about what to say. I know my story, and I know what I have done. But there are so many details, and I am a details person. Ask anyone who has asked me "How was your day?" You're going to get a long story. :)

I was praying and reading scripture this week in search of what to say. I am reading through the bible, and I am amazed at how it is a record of history, but also a telling of God's story in those people.

God is present, even when we don't think He is there. He has been with me my whole life. He walks with me and guides me in every decision I make, whether I acknowledge that or not. So instead of telling my story this Sunday. God really laid upon my heart to tell His story using my life.

It makes it easier to talk about someone else, plus He receives all the glory and focus! This is what a testimony is all about! What is God's story in your life? I would LOVE to hear/read it! Have you shared His story with someone lately? I know I haven't. Something to work on definitely!
