So I have added an app on my iPod that allows me to write blog posts from the palm of my hand. So we'll see how this changes the amount of blogs I post.
I have been reading through Romans the last two weeks. It has been an incredible experience. Paul was definitely a preacher and could organize and thread his thoughts together in such a way that it just makes sense.
Read through chapter 8. He starts with an explanation of the freedom that we find in the Son. We are no longer slaves to sin. Our flesh is sin in itself. Left alone we would live in sin.
Then he talks of how the Spirit has transformed us into a life free from sin. This Spirit living also puts us into the family of the Father. Without this Spirit we would find ourselves looking in to the fellowship from the outside. But He gives us Himself so that we are able to take part in the abundant life that He has promised us.
The Spirit helps us when we are most weak and cannot live this life worthy of the standard of His family. The Spirit cries out for us in ways that we can't even express. I love verse 26. Groanings too deep for words. He takes our feelings and translates them into a language we don't know and can't speak.
Finally Paul really starts to dig deep and let out his thoughts in 31 through 39. You can just feel his passion and longing for the people of the family to understand. The love of our Father is truly amazing. He chooses not to let us live separated from Him even though we choose that so many times over life. He sends us His love through His Spirit. And by doing this He adopts us as His children and loves us far beyond anything we can say or understand. How beautiful! I long for everyone to know this love and acceptance. As I have experienced it in so much abundance recently.
Oh how He loves all of us. I can't understand it. He desires to have an intimate and personal relationship with us. That is what sets Him apart. There is nothing we can do to earn His love and forgiveness. It is there already. He lives with us. He comes is here with us. He will never leave or forsake those who love Him. What security what peace what joy. That is how we can live in peace even when things suck. Incredible.
Thanks for reading all this if you have. May The LORD bless you and keep. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you.
Love and Grace from our Lord.
